Welcome to the website of Kurt A. Gilchrist, P.L.C.  I work hard providing my clients quality legal services at a reasonable cost.  My main areas of practice include criminal, traffic, family law and personal injury.

I am a lifelong Tidewater resident and am a graduate of the University of Virginia and Regent University, School of Law.  Before becoming a prosecutor for the City of Portsmouth and the City of Chesapeake, I have worked locally in private  practice.  I have tried criminal cases ranging from murder to assault, and traffic cases ranging from vehicular maiming to DUI and speeding.
